VILNIUS, Lithuania In the first public effort by a Lithuanian leader to atone for crimes that Lithuanians committed against Jews during World II, Prime Minister Adolfas Slezevicius appeared on national television Thursday to urge citizens to acknowledge and repent for shameful aspects of their country's history.
