The air on international flights can be fouled by more than the odors and fumes domestic travelers face, Consumer Reports found. The two major problems: pesticides and second-hand smoke. Diplomatic efforts are under way to limit both contaminants, but for the time being, they're unavoidable on most international flights.
A flight attendant walks down a plane's aisle, spraying an insecticide whose label reads: ``Avoid breathing vapors. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.''
