BERLIN Berlin was settled in the early 1800s by New England farmers, but only a few traces of its agricultural roots remain: the handful of farms along Route 22, and two florist-related companies.
Berlin, at the intersection of Route 22 and Plank Road, lies along the Little Hoosic River in Rensselaer County. Bordering it is Williamstown to the east, Petersburgh and Grafton to the north, Poestenkill and Sand Lake to the west and Stephentown to the south.
