ALBANY State Sen. Howard Nolan ran into opposition in his bid for Albany County Democratic chairman on Thursday from the members of the party's old guard and abortion rights advocates.
Whether Nolan will formally offer himself as a candidate at Wednesday's County Committee meeting remains in question. Further, Chairman Robert Signoracci has yet to decide if he'll seek a new term, while Albany 4th Ward Leader Joseph McElroy was still in the race weighing his options.
