``We lived near the temple,'' Ira Woren explained, and with cousins and other relatives coming by after services, ``there had to be food.''
Three or four years ago, said the Yonkers-born Woren, they had some friends over to their Colonie home and served up a new year's meal; now, ``people expect us to.''
So like many Jewish families, the Worens found themselves this weekend at the region's only large kosher store, actually a store-within-a-store ...
