Hannaford Bros. Co. of Scarborough, Maine, owner of Shop 'n Save supermarkets, likes what it sees in the Capital Region.
Earlier this month, Hannaford's real estate acquisition company obtained an option on a property at the corner of routes 20 and 146 in Guilderland, and although no formal announcement has been made, indications are that the company plans another new store.
Since it opened its first local store in Queensbury seven years ago, Hannaford has opened 11 more stores in the Capital Region. No. 13 is expected to be built in 1995 in North Greenbush. By the turn of the century, Hannaford could ...
