Even if you have no interest in watching a haggis hurl or a caber toss, there is still good reason to come to the Altamont Fairgrounds next Saturday and Sunday: DOGS.
Besides those tests of manly endurance, there will be scores of four-legged friends all of Scottish origin represented at the 17th annual event.
According to spokeswoman Diana Martin, the Scottish Dog Show will begin at 1:30 p.m. Saturday with an exhibition of 14 Scottish breeds, followed by a demonstration by the Albany Obedience Club, which uses only Scottish breeds.
