Sometimes I am glad my brother lives in Florida and not in Johnstown or Sharon Springs. If he lived nearby, he might have dropped in unexpectedly and found me out. Several years ago, he sent me cuttings of a begonia (species unknown) that grows like a weed in his garden. He doesn't bother to root cuttings; he just breaks off a 6-inch piece and sticks it in the ground. The plant is not particularly graceful, but it produces great umbels of white flowers nearly year-round.
