UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. Back in Massapequa, Long Island, around the time of first grade, Jerry Seinfeld sort of decided on a career path.
It was watching Bud Abbott and Lou Costello, quite probably the best comedy team of all time, that eventually led Seinfeld to ``Seinfeld.'' Surely his mother would have preferred that he emulate Dr. Kildare.
But as things turned out, his role models served him well. ``These are the guys that made me fall in love with the idea of being funny,'' he said. ``I've always loved them, and I've always felt they were underappreciated.''
