While city Republicans are critical of Democrats for taking accruedvacation pay while still working at City Hall, one of their own is getting back vacation pay while working at another job: City Manager John H. Clinton.
In addition to his $72,000 salary as city manager, Clinton has been continuing to draw a salary of $769.24 every two weeks from the state Senate. He is an aide there to State Sen. Kemp Hannon, R-Nassau County, and is listed as being on vacation.
