The stage was set for the biggest rematch in Colonial Council girlsbasketball here Thursday night.
Lansingburgh anxiously awaited an opportunity to avenge an earlier drubbing at the hands of leader The Academy of the Holy Names and possibly move into a tie for first place with a victory.
But Holy Names would hear of no such thing.
Despite the pressure and a miserable night offensively, Holy Names turned back Lansingburgh 38-32 to open a two-game lead in the Council with three games remaining.
