The woodshop at Innisfree Village, a community of adults with disabilities, builds self-esteem and pride in workmanship as well as beautiful crafts
It's a beautiful setting. There are 600 acres of rolling green farmland nestled adjacent to Shenandoah National Park in the foothills of Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains. It shares the same breathtaking scenery as nearby world-class resorts. Yet this serene spot is much more than a recreational site. It provides a home and sustenance for a privately funded community of approximately 60 adult residents, including 25 volunteer staff members and 35 "co-workers," as residents with disabilities are called.
