Jan. 5--Suffolk police are looking for the bandits who stole donation boxes from three 7-Elevens -- including one whose proceeds were slated to help a muscular dystrophy association, officials said yesterday.
Police said donation boxes at 7-Elevens in Brentwood, Central Islip and Islandia were snatched Wednesday night and yesterday morning. Two of them were vaguely titled "donation," while a third said customers' leftover change and dollar bills would go to Jerry's Kids -- officially known as the national Muscular Dystrophy Association, chaired by Jerry Lewis.
