Jan. 5--Shawn King is getting better as an offensive threat. His defensive game is good already.
The Oral Roberts junior center swatted almost every shot that Western Illinois didn't miss on its own power Thursday night as the Golden Eagles coasted to a 65-46 win at the Mabee Center in both teams' Mid-Continent Conference opener.
The 6-foot-10 King blocked six shots, tied a career high with 11 rebounds and scored nine points. He already led the conference with 30 blocked shots in his first 14 games.
