Much ado is often made over beefsteaks, even I have been known to partake of the residue of cows ... even though I don't care much for the creature. I think primarily after the thing was killed for the hide somebody came up with the idea to chew on the lump left over, hence we eat the things. The hide though (in my opinion) is what rolled the ball on the whole shebang, as somebody needed it to cover a bare spot some centuries back.

Since then, lots of stuff has been done with the leather hides and I don't know anybody who has more fun or takes greater enjoyment out of working the hides than Dave Glau of California Leather Works. You'd think he was from ...
