Antique lovers, opera fans and natural history buffs will find something of interest in winter excursions offered by the State Museum.
The schedule includes an excursion to the Met and Cloisters. The day begins at the Cloisters, a branch of the Metropolitan Museum of Art with a tour highlighting the collections focusing on the Cloisters. Participants will continue on to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. After a slide lecture, the rest of the day is free to explore the Met and window shop. The tour leaves at 6:30 a.m. returning by 10 p.m. Fee is $60 per person. Register by Dec. 1.
