The proliferation of craft fairs in recent years has prompted one of the foremost shows in the country to change its name to protect its identity.
The 19-year-old event known as the Philadelphia Craft Show will open its doors next week as the Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show. The reason: ``Every church and school has a craft show in the fall,'' says show manager Nancy C. O'Meara. ``It's a very busy time.''
The Nov. 9-11 show which O'Meara says is not to be confused with those that sell ``potholders'' will present handmade, one-of-a-kind works by 185 artisans from around the country ...
