Jan. 5--After more than 30 years in Northern New Mexico, controversial former City Councilor and Republican U.S. Senate contender David Pfeffer is leaving the state. Pfeffer, an architect by profession, said Thursday that he's accepted a position with a large architectural firm in the Chicagoarea. He declined to namethe company. Asked how it felt to be leaving Santa Fe -- where he raised his three children -- Pfeffer said: "Bittersweet. I made a lot of friends here, but I made a lot of enemies, too. I always felt if I didn't make some people mad, I wasn't accomplishing anything." He said he began looking for a new job last year ...
