For years now, log home construction has been slowly creeping from the customary country venue and into the suburbs.
In the past, most log homes were built in rustic settings, places such as the West or the Adirondacks. But more are being built closer to other houses and styles of architecture, and even in cities.
``I built one for a homeowner in Saratoga County that is located across from an historic brick house with a copper roof and a white farmhouse with red barns,'' said Tim Bliss, owner of Real Bliss Log Homes in Scotia.
