ALBANY City police suspended an officer without pay after he was linked to gunfire in Schenectady early Sunday.
Thomas Blesser, 27, an Albany officer who lives in Schenectady, was taken in for questioning after someone fired a gun at 2:30 a.m. on Congress Street near Broadway, Assistant Schenectady Police Chief Greg Kaczmarek said.
``We did find a shell casing. We don't know if it came from his gun,'' Kaczmarek said. So far, police have not charged Blesser, but an investigation into the incident is continuing.
