A recent Times Union contained an article about a teacher in New York City complaining that student leaders who made anonymous anti-Semitic threats should not be allowed to attend their high school graduation even though they had been suspended for a week and had been precluded from attending their senior prom. Ultimately, the chancellor of the New York City schools and the school board announced that the students would be banned from graduation. This story is clearly newsworthy.
