It started two years ago when Subaru offered young car buyers its new Impreza and tried, briefly, to sell it as the automotive equivalent of ``punk rock'' you know, outside the mainstream. Right now, Miller is trying to sell young America ice beer this way: Two bodysurfers in a mosh pit are unable to surf back to the bar, so the frosties are served to them by a waitress, who surfs toward them on her back, perfectly balanced tray in hand. Then there was Budweiser, which co-opted the Ramones' ``Blitzkrieg Bop'' to sell its brew.
Blame it on Nirvana. Blame it on Pearl Jam. Blame it on Green Day.
