TROY The city's main police union provided evidence the city said it needed to keep a weight room inside the police station.
Last week, Public Safety Commissioner Charles Mills ordered Police Benevolent Association President Jack Rogers to either insure the weight room or vacate it.
The move came in the midst of continued spats between the city and the PBA because the two sides have not reached agreement on contract givebacks sought by City Manager David M. Grandeau.
