COLONIE Twice during the season Holy Names girls' basketball coach Joe Anastasio saw what Schalmont High's Kelly Paolino can do when she drives to the basket.
He saw it again when Paolino tossed in 29 points in a quarterfinal round overtime victory over South Glens Falls last Friday. Anastasio knew his team would have to come up with a stellar defensive effort if it was going to defeat its Colonial Council foe for the third time this season.
Holy Names did just that by shutting down Paolino and teammate Jamie Clough in the first half and eased to a 53-32 Section II Class B semifinal win over the Lady ...
