ALBANY -- Here was a Christmasconcert in red and green, colors singers and audience favored for the occasion.
A capacity crowd filled the Hart Theatre of the Empire Center at the Egg on Friday for the Mendelssohn Club's annual winter concert, the first event of its 88th season (the Club is named for 19th-century German oratorio composer Felix Mendelssohn).
There was plenty of popular Christmas music, some of it new to the 85-voice all-male chorus. There were also some of the non-seasonal blockbuster staples of men's choruses like Jean Sibelius' ``Finlandia'' (titled ``Beloved Land'' in this English ...
