ALBANY -- Relations between Gov. George Pataki and his chief Democratic critic, state Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, appeared to be at a new low Tuesday.
Silver, a Manhattan Democrat, told the New York Daily News that Pataki speaks ``out of different sides of his mouth'' and that the governor's fellow Republican, state Senate Majority Leader Joseph Bruno, can't be trusted to keep his word.
For his part, Pataki said Silver seemed to be upset that a special session of the Legislature held last week didn't go his way. Among other things, Pataki and Bruno refused to go along with legislation extending a measure giving ...
