DUBLIN, Ireland -- To Notre Dame and Navy, Croke Park is just another place to play a football game. To the Irish people, it's hallowed ground.
The north Dublin stadium where the Fighting Irish and Navy will play Saturday is the home of Gaelic sports and a symbol of the nation's struggle for independence.
``Croke Park is one of the cathedrals of Irish nationalism,'' said Dublin journalist Tom Humphries, who has just published a book on Gaelic sports.
