When Ed Stander of Delmar plays Brahms, Chopin and Mozart -- as well as Henry Mancini, Fats Waller, Richard Rodgers and Harold Arlen -- it's not on the piano, violin or even the harpsichord, but on a relatively unknown instrument called a ``glass harmonica.''
Just back from performing at a festival in Singapore, Stander will make his first appearance during Thursday's Victorian Streetwalk at Winesellers from 6 to 9 p.m.
``Wherever I perform throughout the United States or Canada or Asia, people are surprised when I tell them that the glass harmonica is not a new instrument,'' Stander ...
