George Carlin is not an angry man. Really, he's not.
He says the world is a crappy place. Well, he uses a stronger word. Humans made it that way. Humans are a species seemingly intent on exterminating ourselves and our planet.
And, says Carlin, 59, the twin evils of commerce and religion shackle people to a belief in trying to improve their lot -- when in fact religion and commerce and government are designed to make betterment virtually impossible.
