LANESBORO, Mass. On the last stretch of the road leading to the summit of Mount Greylock, the car ahead suddenly stops. An arm protrudes from the driver's side, indicating with a wave that traffic behind should pull around.
The driver is neither consulting a map nor trying to coax a sluggish engine the rest of the way up the mountain. Instead, the couple in the car are simply sitting there, taking in the view below.
