TROY -- Rose Simon, 84, of the St. Mary's Woodland Village, died June 19, 1997 at St. Mary's hospital. Born and raised in Tannersville, NY, she also lived many years in Pittsfield, MA. She worked as a governess for many years with several families retiring in the mid l980's. Rose had a real fondness and love of children. She spent her summers in Saratoga Springs and Tannersville working in various Jewish resorts. Rose would spend months at a time in Schenectady living with her sister Frances Green and her family, and had a special loving relationship with them and especially her niece Anne ...
