Marne-la-Vallee, France The Flying Dumbo ride brought tears to our eyes.
Yes, my 6-year-old daughter, Anna, and I were teary as we twirled around and around on giant elephants at Disneyland Paris on a gray Saturday morn.
The tears weren't from joy, but bitter cold. It requires a lot of grit and sheer determination to ride an outdoor flying elephant ride with temperatures in the 30s. If you're a parent, you can guess the punch line: Cold or no cold, my little daughter wanted to ride again, and again.
This is Disneyland, but not as we know it.
