DEAR CHEFS' SECRETS: A friend and I recently had dinner at The Shipyard Restaurant on Everett Road in Colonie and had one of the best lemon pies. Could you please obtain the recipe? -- M. GAFFIGAN, Clifton Park
DEAR M: The Shipyard has served lemon chiffon pie for about a dozen years. Its combination of sweetness and tartness make it a big seller, says chef and co-owner Scott Lynch. And, ``it's something nice and light at the end of the meal,'' said Lynch.
A former Shipyard employee, Peter Topian, continues to whip up the chiffon pie for the restaurant.
