Jan. 7--Don't get comfortable with the 3:05 p.m. start time. Both men's and women's games were moved up to make way for the Harlem Globetrotters' annual Mabee Center visit Saturday night.
"We've had a long-standing commitment to the Globetrotters. They are a real crowd pleaser and a money-maker (for the Mabee Center)," ORU president Richard Roberts said.
"When my father (Oral Roberts) built this building, he committed to the city that there would be a considerable number of public events in it, and we are keeping that commitment."
Roberts said Saturday evening starts in Tulsa generally draw larger crowds.
