MECHANICVILLE -- Francis A. `Tootsie` Toma, Sr., 69, of Hulin St., died Tuesday at Stratton VA Medical Center, after a brief illness. Born October 12, 1928 in Cohoes, he was the son of the late John and Angeline Febba Toma. Mr. Toma grew up in Cohoes, and lived in Mechanicville all his adult life. He had been a trainman for the Boston and Maine Railroad in Mechanicville for 40 years, retiring in 1987. He had also been the on-site manager for A.J. Toma Construction of Cohoes, for a number of years. He was a World War II Veteran with the US Marine Corps. He was a member of the United Transportation Union.
