Jan. 7--David Kearley left football behind after graduating from the University of Florida in 2001, choosing a career in building and land acquisition for an Atlanta developer. The former offensive lineman at Niceville High School, who signed with the University of Florida as a senior in 1998 and played two seasons as an offensive guard, had been sidelined for two seasons because of back and knee injuries.
