LG Electronics, a leader in consumer electronics and mobile communications, has officially embarked on a new era of executive leadership. Mr. Yong Nam, who started his tenure as the new Vice Chairman and CEO effective January 1, 2007, shared his vision with employees through his recent message.
Mr. Nam declared LG Electronics' vision of becoming a global top three player in all of its business areas, as defined in terms of revenue, market share, profitability, growth rate and shareholder returns. He added, however, that there was one area where LG Electronics should be at the very top, and not just one of the top three: people.
