LANDSCAPE GARDENING IN AUSTRALIA by Thomas Shepherd Canberra, Mulini Press, 2006
Here is another gardening book. It was first published in 1836 in Sydney by the Scottish Landscape Gardener Thomas Shepherd who established the first commercial Garden Nursery in what is now Chippendale in Sydney. He called his nursery the Darling Nursery in honour of Governor Darling who encouraged him to settle and provide garden plants and trees for the colonists. This was his second book; his first was Australia's first gardening book.
