Jan. 8--A new $14.75 million residence hall is being planned for WVU's downtown campus. The 350-bed facility is part of the proposed $188.1 million capital improvement master plan.
Becky Lofstead, University News Services director, said construction should begin later this year and be complete sometime in 2008. The $14.75 million for the new hall includes land acquisition, the demolition of two houses, architect fees and construction. The land is already purchased, and both houses on the property have been purchased and boarded up.
