The Federal Communications Commission (FCC), a regulator in the US, has revealed it is to pursue enforcement action against three mobile phone companies for not meeting the deadline to ensure customers are covered by the emergency 911 system.
A statement on the FCC's website said it is denying eight requests for waivers relating to the deadline of 31 December 2005 and confirmed the three companies, including Sprint Nextel Corp, are being referred to its enforcement bureau. The FCC stated that the ...
