Yahoo revamping message boards.

Jan. 8--One of the largest news providers on the Internet, Yahoo News, is cleaning up its message boards by developing a new way for readers to comment on stories.

The company's old message boards, which allowed anyone with a Yahoo ID to post a comment after reading a story, were sometimes used by racists and agitators, who were able to hide under a cloak of relative anonymity and unleash vitriol without repercussion. Yahoo hopes to curb such posts with its new system and has removed the old boards from its site.
