Jan. 8--By the time you read this, the Fort Wayne Komets will probably just be climbing out of bed. By the time you are done, they'll be back under the covers.
The Komets estimated they spent more than 30 hours riding the bus over the last week, traveling more than 1,700 miles while battling Elmira, Port Huron and Quad City, along with a touch of the flu. They won those three games, but had to come home to play Flint, which played at home Saturday night and beat the Komets into town.
After getting back at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, bus lag finally caught up with the Komets as they lost to Flint 6-5 before a Memorial Coliseum crowd ...
