Jan. 8--LIMA -- At Lombardo's Cafe, the breakfasts are big and the tales are tall, but owner Joe Lombardo swears by them both.
Lombardo's father began the Lima institution, just north of the railroad tracks on Main Street, in 1948; Lombardo was a year old. He was raised in the family business and after military service, Lombardo began working there.
"This was always it. I was a natural," Lombardo said. "I have to believe I'm the best bartender in Lima. That's all there is to it."
