In a few days, Apple Computer officially debuts its much ballyhooed iMac, the friendly $1,299 all-in-one computer aimed at the education and home consumer market.

Pronounced EYE-MAC, the ``i'' stands for the Internet, which is so easy to set up on the iMac, the company boasts, it literally takes less than eight minutes for even a child to open the box, plug in everything and get onto the Net.
