TROY -- Murder suspect Duane Gabriel viewed the taunting and possibly intoxicated Robert Hathaway as his own abusive father when he shot him and his teenage son to death two years ago, a psychologist testified Wednesday in Rensselaer County Court.
James Thalmann said Hathaway, 47, constantly taunted Gabriel for his past sexual abuse, and Gabriel took the taunts as a sign that he was about to be abused again.
