It wasn't a good day for Section II softball Tuesday at Clifton Common, but Larina Suker and her Voorheesville High teammates held up just fine.
In Class A, Columbia went up against Cicero-North Syracuse of Section III and came out on the short end of a 4-1 score. In Class D, Fort Ann saw its season end in the 10th inning as Moriah of Section VII took a 5-4 victory.
But Suker and the Blackbirds were too much for Saranac of Section VII, the senior right-hander pitching a one-hitter and striking out 10 in a 1-0 victory.
