Article: EXAMINING THE LONGTIME COSTS OF AFFIRMATIVE ACTION.(MAIN)

Byline: Thomas Sowell

Affirmative action has become a symbolic issue, a test of whether you are for ``us'' or ``them.'' Polarization is one of the high costs of preferential programs around the world.
