TROY -- As members of Friends of Liberia held hands and, in silence, bowed their heads Friday evening, John Fania's thoughts were far away with his wife and three children lost somewhere in the war-torn African country.
``I don't know where they are right now,'' Fania said of his loved ones after the traditional African ``libation.'' That's a combination toast and blessing which opened a Liberian Relief 5 fund-raising program at Hudson Valley Community College.
Fania is a native Liberian and just finished medical school at Boston University Medical Center. He now wants to return to his family in Liberia but ...
