TROY -- Hours after Robert and Michael Hathaway were shot to death in their Poestenkill home, murder suspect Duane Gabriel attempted to get rid the stolen Hathaway car by pushing it down a gully after drinking with buddies, according to court testimony Thursday.
Gabriel's friends in Palatine Bridge, more than 50 miles away from the bloody murder scene, were brought to the witness stand by Rensselaer County District Attorney Mary O. Donohue as she continued to build evidence against the 19-year-old Gabriel.
