SCHENECTADY -- F. Cappiello Dairy Products Inc., a 75-year-old cheese manufacturing operation, is a one-of-a-kind Capital Region business.
``I guess you could say we're the big cheese in this area,'' says Marica Horstmyer, regional manager of retail sales for the firm that rings up $5 million in annual gross receipts.
Carolyn Lavare, the firm's office manager for the last 18 years, said the next closest cheese maker to the Capital Region is in Binghamton.
